Za začetek poglej, koliko ugank o poklicih bi znal/a rešiti brez pomoči. Priponko najdeš zgoraj (job-riddles).
Oglej si poklice v desni razpredelnici. V slovarju preveri pomen besed, če za katero nisi prepričan/a, kaj pomeni.
Ponovno se loti ugank.

Food: countable and uncountable nouns
Ko govorimo o hrani, moramo biti pozorni na to, ali gre za števne samostalnike (COUNTABLE) ali za neštevne (UNCOUNTABLE).
Števni samostalniki imajo ednino in množino. V ednini imajo spredaj člen a/an (an uporabimo, kadar se samostalnik začne na a, e, i, o, u).
Primer: an apple --> apples
an egg --> eggs
a carrot --> carrots
a sandwich --> sandwiches
Neštevni samostalniki nimajo množine, prav tako pa z njimi ne uporabljamo člena a/an.
Primeri neštevnih samostalnikov:
water
milk
chocolate
soup
cheese
butter
pasta
Neštevne samostalnike štejemo na drugačen način - lahko npr. štejemo količinsko, v smislu koliko kozarcev/flaš/rezin/krožnikov itd. nečesa imamo.
A glass of water = kozarec vode
A carton of milk = tetrapak mleka
A bar of chocolate = tablica čokolade
A bowl of soup = skleda juhe
A slice of cheese = rezina sira
Glede na to, ali so samostlaniki števni ali neštevni, moramo pri navajanju količine paziti z besedami:

ANY
A LOT OF
MUCH - se uporablja samo z neštevnimi (There isn't much milk left. - Nimamo več veliko mleka.) Ponavadi gre za nikalne stavke, ni pa nujno.
MANY - se uporablja samo s števnimi (There are many oranges in the fridge. - V hladilniku je mnogo pomaranč.)
SOME, ANY in A LOT OF se uporabljajo z obojimi, števnimi in neštevnimi, a moramo paziti na to, za kakšne povedi gre (trdilne, nikalne ali vprašalne).
SOME se uporablja v trdilnih stavkih. (I've got some water. I've got some apples).
ANY se uporablja v vprašalnih in nikalnih stavkih. (Are there any sandwiches? Is there any milk? There aren't any potatoes. We haven't got any chocolate.)
A LOT OF se lahko uporablja v vseh primerih.

Kako zapišemo -ING obliko?
če se glagol konča na –e, le tega izpustimo:
